Karmic Fibers Studio began with a desire to lessen textile waste impact on our environment and societies. Each year _______ amounts of textile waste is sent overseas to landfills which effects the health of communities and global warming. Each individual contributes ______ amount of textile waste with a fashion season of ______ cycles per year. That’s a lot of waste. Karmic Fiber Studios takes second hand thrifted textiles and repurposes them into unique and ecclectic pieces, giving them a second (or third or 6th) life. Through embroidery, weaving, beading, and felting, new pieces are reborn carrying with them the imprint of their lives into the next, continuing a woven story of time, memories, and the individuals who wear them.
