I spend most of my time studying life through the contemplation of death. I create art using multiple mediums to understand my life and all its elements. I am fascinated by death, loss, and grief and spend most of my time meditating on its inevitability. I have come to see death as the beginning and ending of processes; a breeze, breath, laughter, cry, conversations, a moment. To me, everything is in constant motion, in a constant cycle of rejuvenation and decay. I am originally from California and have an affinity for the ocean, my greatest teacher. I identify as a naturalist, Buddhist, and queer individual. I work really hard at embracing my faults, taking them as opportunities to unpack and dissect my realities. I believe that as birth and death are experienced individually and collectively, it is imperative to move through these processes with a graceful compassion for all living beings.
